Check outGalaxy was built with collaboration at its core. We were truly frustrated by just how single-player writing SQL can be for developers. We were frustrated by how often we send SQL in slack, store it in Notion, and how frequrently queries become out of date in BI tools. To fix this, we have created a Collections UI / UX that allows teams to create Postman-esque collections of their most important queries.
We built Galaxy with access controls such that you can select who has the ability to edit, comment, and view on any query based on permissions you set.
Endorsing is Galaxy's way of saying "this is the correct query to calculate a metric". This allows teams to "sign-off" on a query so that other people know that query is safe to use.
Galaxy allows for users to see and view run and edit history on our paid plans.
Collections enables team to organize their data exploration by team, by project, and more. This way, you can easily navigate through a coherent view into all of your team's data work.
